Darryl Avalon Hopkins has been involved in the Newfoundland theatre scene since 1997. He has trained at both Sir Wilfred Grenfell College (M.U.N) and Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto. He has toured with the Theatre Newfoundland Labrador production Tempting Providence. Earlier work includes numerous roles with Rising Tide Theatre.
